Behind every mission-driven organization is someone ensuring donations are received, processed accurately, and distributed to the people who need them most. At Big Table, that person is Lily Kovalchuk, Director of Finance and Operations—and a winner of BillGO’s You AR Awesome Awards.
Lily was nominated by a colleague who shared a video highlighting the extraordinary scope of her work. From managing complex donation flows to ensuring care recipients receive timely support, Lily’s impact spans five national locations and thousands of lives each year.
As Director of Finance and Operations, Lily oversees both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable for Big Table. She manages all incoming donations across five national locations, reconciling deposits from multiple donation platforms and accurately entering them into the organization’s CRM and QuickBooks.
In addition to day-to-day donation processing, Lily issues checks for every care need Big Table supports. In 2025 alone, that meant supporting 1,227 care recipients, on top of preparing year-end tax forms and donation receipts. The volume and complexity of her AR responsibilities require precision, consistency and an enormous amount of care.
Her role becomes even more demanding during Big Table’s annual fundraising event, Eats Around the World, which runs across all locations over a three-month period. This past year, Lily processed nearly $400,000 in donations across more than 1,000 individual contributions, all while keeping up with her regular duties.
Before BillGO Exchange, processing payments often meant handling paper checks, scanning deposits, and completing manual data entry—time-consuming steps that slowed reconciliation and added unnecessary friction.

As Lily shared:
“It’s definitely easy to use. When somebody first contacted me about BillGO, I was like, ‘Oh no’—I thought it was going to be complicated. But BillGO is just so easy. We used to receive checks and I would scan them, enter everything manually. This process is a lot faster.”

What Lily loves most about her role isn’t just the financial work—it’s the ability to help people. Every check she sends represents tangible support for someone in need. At the same time, reviewing every request and knowing not all can be fulfilled is one of the hardest parts of her job.
That emotional weight makes efficiency even more important. When payment workflows are easier and more reliable, Lily can move faster, reduce stress, and ensure care reaches as many people as possible.
