Want to Be Part of One of Today’s Leading Fintechs?

As readers of On the GO know, BillGO is a fintech trailblazer harnessing speed, choice and intelligence to deliver an all-in-one bill management and payments platform to financial institutions (FIs), consumers and other fintechs.

It’s an ambitious goal and, in order to deliver, BillGO is always on the lookout for top-tier technical talent – people who are wholly committed to learning, growing and delivering high-quality products to our customers.

Those customers, by the way, include more than 8,000 FIs, 170,000 billers & supplier endpoints, 32 million consumers and several leading tech giants.

“Like most startups in the process of scaling, we certainly have challenges to overcome, but the spirit of teamwork and fearless honesty we cultivate here makes it a joy.”

Meeting the needs of that diverse group of users is a tall order. One way BillGO consistently delivers is by creating an environment that supports our developers and engineers.

Mark P., a BillGO programmer, confirms this.

“BillGO is an amazing place to work, and it’s an honor to work alongside so many talented professionals,” he says. “Like most startups in the process of scaling, we certainly have a few challenges to overcome, but the spirit of teamwork and fearless honesty we cultivate here makes it a joy.”

Is BillGO Right for You?

We are not just looking for seasoned programmers, developers and software engineers; we also want problem solvers and collaborators who possess a passion for learning. Ideal candidates will have experience working with teams and solving big problems in a fast-paced environment.

“At BillGO, you not only get to work with industry rock stars, but also with technical talent that love what they do! You will definitely up your game working with this great team!”

If you’re considering BillGO, you should know BillGO was recently certified as a Great Place to Work for 2022, but it wasn’t the first time our company captured industry attention.

In 2021 Growjo - a ranking company that uses algorithms to track organizational success - placed BillGO on its list of the 500 fastest growing startups in the world, but that was only one of the accolades we scored in 2021. That same year Forbes called out BillGO as a “Best Startup Employer,” Fortune recognized BillGO as a “Best Place to Work,” and Inc. magazine named BillGO a “Best Workplace” in 2021. American Banker included BillGO on its list of Top Fintechs to work for in 2020.

Most of those recognitions were based on confidential surveys distributed directly to BillGO employees. So, when BillGO is named a “best place” to work, it’s because BillGOans sincerely believe it’s a pleasure to clock in each day.

Yes, working at BillGO can be demanding, but, by design, the company culture puts a premium on employees remaining serene and happy.

“Some employers say they care about the work-life balance of their employees,” says T. Smith, a senior engineer. “Here at BillGO, they take action by providing unlimited PTO as well as requiring full-time employees take a mandatory week of vacation every six months to be proactive against burnout.”

Are You Right for BillGO?

Who is BillGO looking for? When it comes to technical talent, BillGO seeks candidates who are comfortable working in rapid-fire, ever-changing environments. We need people who can think critically, on their feet and collaborate with teammates to …

  • Develop automated tests to verify product functionality
  • Implement new features and software modifications
  • Write clear, concise and effective test scenarios, cases and scripts
  • Identify and document bugs and defects based on test failures
  • Build strong communication channels within BillGO

Beyond that, in most (but not all) cases, candidates should also have a bachelor's degree in computer science or similar expertise in information technology-related disciplines. We also are looking for people with a natural curiosity, an ability to show initiative and multi-task, prioritize, meet deadlines and recognize trends and challenges.

In addition, BillGO is looking for GO-getters with the following general backgrounds:

●   3+ years of experience in software engineering (or a similar role)
●   Experience in Java as well as a willingness to learn new technologies
●   Working knowledge of JUnit, Selenium WebDriver and Rest-Assured
●   Familiarity with continuous integration tools and automated testing strategies
●   Experience with software development lifecycle (specifically Agile)
●   Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
●   Experience with Git and insights into best practices for code-version management

If your resume includes all – or even most – of the skills described above, you owe it to yourself to consider BillGO as you map out your career trajectory.

As Dave Row, our VP of Security Engineering, reminds prospective BillGOans: “At BillGO, you not only get to work with industry rock stars but also with technical talent that love what they do! You will definitely up your game working with this great team!”
