Can’t Pay Due to COVID-19? These Billers are Offering Relief

It’s no secret that the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has wreaked havoc on the U.S. economy, resulting in scrambled supply chains, shuttered businesses, and millions of Americans who suddenly have found themselves unemployed. There’s less awareness around some better news: Many of the nation’s leading financial institutions and billers are providing relief — offering extra customer support, waived fees, and other hardship concessions to those struggling to make payments during this incredibly uncertain time.

In response, the BillGO team has compiled the Bill Pay Relief Hub, which showcases companies across America presenting special terms to those financially impacted by the health crisis. This unique resource features an interactive map, is filterable by state and industry, and includes a search capability for specific billers. Users are presented with a list of payment relief options for each entry, as well as backlinks to listed organizations’ websites for more information.

Built on the power of crowdsourcing

The hub is a work in progress; BillGO will continually update it as additional information becomes available. Leveraging the power of crowdsourced information, both consumers and billers can easily submit new entries directly from the directory page. And don’t worry: We’ll also keep our readers apprised of new developments via our blog, Twitter posts, and LinkedIn and Facebook feeds.

In the coming weeks, we’ll also be curating content that helps consumers make smart financial decisions in an age of Coronavirus. Whether you’re looking for general bill pay tips or searching for advice on how to stretch a dollar through unemployment, you can expect a host of actionable insights from industry experts and influencers. Make sure to follow our social channels to stay in the know!

In the meantime, don’t forget to spread the word about the #COVID19billrelief movement via your own social channels! Together, we can help those impacted by the Coronavirus get the help they need to weather financial storms.
